ERPEC Americas 2000 was launched last year in Orlando Florida following the success of its sister event ERPEC Europe, which took place recently for the third time at the Hilton Hotel in Cannes France. The event brings together international suppliers of retail petroleum equipment, to allow oil company engineers and purchasing managers from North and South America to assess their respective products and services. There is no exhibition and no conference sessions, just business meetings from start to finish, presented in a time and cost effective framework.


 


Regular delegates to ERPEC events come from many of the world’s leading petroleum retailers including Exxon, Shell, Texaco, BP Amoco, Aral, Mobil, Repsol YPF, Kuwait, Ipiranga, Copec, Copetrol and TotalFina to mention a few. Over the last three years more than 750 delegates, representing 255 companies from 37 countries have registered as participants. ERPEC Americas 2000 has invited senior engineers and purchasing managers from 45 petroleum retailers in the Americas marketplace. And 60 delegates from international key suppliers.

AN AGENDA OF PRE-PLANNED APPOINTMENTS


 


One month prior to the event all buyers are sent a directory of participating suppliers and asked which companies they would like to meet. Prior to this suppliers are asked to provide detailed information on their products and services. Once oil companies have made their requests a detailed appointments schedule is produced for each delegate and then dispatched to them prior to arriving at the event. Suppliers also have the opportunity to request introductory meetings with oil company representatives and these are granted with the consent of the companies concerned. Meetings last 40 minutes (buyer requested) or 20 minutes (supplier requested).
